I
provide intensive instruction to children in
Kindergarten through 8th grade who struggle with
basic reading and spelling. I help them learn to read
and spell accurately, fluently and independently - and
meet challenges with confidence and enthusiasm.
I create a warm,
affirming, home-like environment where children can
comfortably take the risks necessary for learning. My
instruction is:

– I build a deep foundation in phonemic awareness and explicitly teach each reading
skill and strategy your child needs.

– I use students’ strengths and
interests to help them learn - allowing for
movement, games, drawing and other modes of
learning.

My students make measurable progress as noted
by parents and professionals such as
teachers, school reading specialists and
psychologists.
